Spring in the Basin

I'll try and remember to post some pictures next time, Ollie is getting a lot bigger. His new favorite activity is looking at the horses from the living room window. He'll get very excited and come and sign 'horse' to us (two fingers in the air beside your head). He continues to wrestle the dog (who is very patient) and runs around the house constantly.
Oliver loves the outdoors. Even if he is screaming and crying he will instantly cheer up if he is able to take a jog down the street.
I'm currently planting a buffalo grass lawn in the front yard for him to play on (it is still dirt around the house).
It's a lot of fun watching the little guy grow up; he makes us laugh on a regular basis!

It's a little cold here.

For a couple of weeks it was -10 degrees every morning on my way to work and made it up to a whopping +5 degrees by the time I went home.
Oliver doesn't seem to mind one bit! His spirits are absolutely undaunted. He has found particular joy in playing peek-a-boo (he likes to actually be under the blanket) and using Barley as a step-stool to get onto things. Oliver can now sign (ASL) the following words- Dog, Mommy, Daddy, Uncle, Grandma, Milk, Food, I want, More, and Big (I'm trying to teach him poop and fart but Malinda does NOT think it is funny at all). Sometimes they all look like the same sign, but its pretty cool when you can tell that he is talking to you.
He laughs a lot and loves bath time.
His favorite toys are cars and trucks (and watching real ones) and bouncy balls. He'll throw the ball and then chase it around the house, laughing the whole time.
Malinda is still playing volleyball and kicks some butt! She'll get 5 or 6 points in a row just on her serve (the other team does a lot of ducking and dodging). Malinda is also on the amateur baby-wrangling circuit. She swept regoinals last week by successfullly changing a diaper in under 4 seconds (about the same time it takes a Dodge Viper to hit 60 miles an hour!).
I'm playing basketball (I learned to play this year) a lot at work and church and also get to do karate three days a week at work.
Mostly though, we like to chill and hang out with eachother. Of course, its too cold to really do much else!

Happy Birthday Ollie!

Oliver is now 1 year old and just like all moms I have mixed feelings about this. I am happy he is healthy and growing and oh so cute, but my baby boy is growing up. He had a fun little party with Mommy, Daddy and Barley and of course enjoyed the balloons, paper and boxes more then the actual presents.
I think his favorite part was the birthday cake. Oliver hasn't had much sugar in his year of life and this was the first time he indulged himself. Although suprisingly not too messy, there was frosting in the hair and lots of licking of slimey green fingers.
Golly I love this kid! It is crazy to think of life without him. I am given so much in life to be thankful for and Oliver is at the top of my list. Heavenly Father is so gracious to allow me to be the mother of this lovable little guy!

Josh is 30!

Our camera wasn't working back when it was actually Josh's birthday so I couldn't post pictures then, but now it works!Josh had his 30th birthday a few weeks ago and had a lot of fun. We had some friends over from our ward and from Josh's work and had cake and icecream (which was really more like milkshakes on a plate). Our neighbor, Kimberly, is an amazing cake artist and she made the cake...isn't is awesome?!? I think she should go into business.Anyway, we love you Josh! I don't think I could ask for a more amazing husband and father to be apart of our lives. I am getting emotional just thinking about what to type. You teach me so much about how to be a better person simply by the way you live. I hope you know how much we love you

All of Oliver since June?! Well, almost.

Okay, it is the moment you've all been waiting for! This may be the longest entry on this blog, so hold on to your hats!

This is back when we were looking to live in Roosevelt on one of the many house hunting trips. We stoped at a view area to feel the babe because back then he ate every 2 hours.

Here is the house we decided on...The only option we had. We bought it when it was being framed having to clue as to what it would end up looking like.

This is our trip to the Zoo back when we were staying with Grandma Ellis.
A visit from Grandma Ellis...and a new activity center!!! Thanks Grandma!

We also had a visit from the Hongs! It was fun to see them...Ollie and Timmy had a great time...

Repelling with Mommy and Daddy... I just watched

(with Becky waving ba bye to Mommy)

My first Halloween...I had 2 costumes. One for the ward Trunk or Treat and one for Halloween day.

Thanks for visiting my blog!!

Pictures

I just realized that I had these pictures on my email...they are a little old (from may) but thought they are pretty cute.

Long time no blog

Hey everyone, if anyone is still checking, I decided to update you all on where and how we are. We have moved to Roosevelt UT and have not had internet connection (hence the no updates). Josh got a job as a therapist at a therapeutic boarding school called Cedar Ridge Academy. He likes it there a lot and loves being a therapist. Oliver and I stay at home and eat sleep and play :) . Ollie is now 11 months old and is a crawling maniac. He starting walking with the help of furniture (among other helps) before he started crawling and while he still does that, he has decided that crawling is AWESOME! He loves going up the stairs (he learned this fun trick the second day of his new found talent of crawling) and has no interest in walking on his own. He is getting big so fast I can't stand it. It is amazing to see his little mind discover new things. Oliver seems to be constantly teething, but has only 2 teeth to show for it. The two teeth are on the top and in the middle, so he looks like a little rabbit only cuter. He is a lot of fun.

Josh took the camera to work or I would post some pictures. As soon as it gets home I will be sure to post some for all to enjoy Oliver's cute little face and all his many adventures.
